Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Communications, the Specialist, Communications will work contribute to the execution of communications strategies that support RONA inc.’s business goals.
The incumbent will collaborate closely with many colleagues to execute tactics and create engaging content to mobilize both internal and external stakeholders.
We’re looking for a detail-oriented, creative, and collaborative person, who thrives on challenges and projects of all scopes, and who is able to manage different IT tools.
Your Role :
Support the team in the deployment of effective communications tactics that contribute to the organization’s business objectives, in order to position key projects, both internally and externally
Contribute to the preparation of content for various internal and external communication tools, including internal news, key messages, presentations, corporate events, etc.
Coordinate various communications initiatives keeping in line with RONA’s standards and timelines
Coordinate communications initiatives with external service providers
The qualifications we are looking for :
University degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related discipline
3 to 5 years of experience in corporate communications in large businesses where things move fast
Exceptional writing and editing skills, in both English and French
Experience with the management of internal communications tools
Strong business ethic (ethical duty of confidentiality) and good judgment
Ability to dissect key messages and simplify information to reach both internal and external target audiences
Ability to manage priorities and sense of urgency
Ability to work on several projects simultaneously with tight deadlines
Thoroughness and attention to detail
Strong listening, collaboration, and teamwork skills
